The unlikely political figure Lauren Sánchez begged for help with her public image revealed

Lauren Sánchez turned to an unlikely political personality to help manage media scrutiny, a new book reports.

Wall Street Journal reporter Dana Mattioli shares in her new, unauthorized tome about Jeff Bezos and the rise of Amazon, “The Everything War: Amazon’s Ruthless Quest to Own the World and Remake Corporate Power,” that the former broadcast journalist begged Kellyanne Conway at a party in 2020 to help with her public image.

“You’ve had a lot thrown at you. How do you handle it?” Sánchez asked former President Donald Trump’s advisor (excerpt via the Daily Beast).

“Please, have you looked in the mirror? People are jealous of you,” Conway responded. “I would say they’re jealous because you’re dating him,” she added, referring to Bezos.

Although she didn’t appear to offer any concrete advice, Conway offered to join Sánchez on a “slow jog around the neighborhood.”

“It was a gesture of goodwill, knowing how seriously Sánchez took exercise,” Mattioli writes.

It no longer appears that Sánchez, 54, needs any guidance from Conway, 57, as celebrities stepped up to support her after problematic restaurateur Keith McNally decided to attack her randomly on social media, describing Bezo’s fiancée as “revolting.”

“The Fly Who Flew to Space” author bit back with two pointed messages of her own, seemingly telling the Balthazar owner that how he feels about her has “nothing to do with” her.

Karma appeared to come for McNally when socialite Michelle Manning Barish filmed a rat scurrying through the Soho hotspot.

McNally, 72, exclusively claimed to Page Six that the vermin was a set up as revenge for his commentary about Sánchez’s looks.

“A suspicious man of about 40 came and sat nervously at Balthazar’s bar last night around 8:30… After paying for one drink he suddenly left very quickly, leaving an upturned bag which five white domesticated mice ran out from,” he said.

“One of the bartenders who noticed the whole episode ran after the man, but failed to catch him. The five white mice were quickly caught.”

Bizarrely enough, the critter caught on camera in Barish’s video was not white.
