Tiger Woods set to leave rehab amid girlfriend Vanessa Trump’s cancer battle: report
Tiger Woods is heading home soon.
The golf pro, who’s been holed up in a Switzerland treatment center following his March car crash and DUI arrest, will reportedly be finishing his three-month rehab stay by the end of the month.
“The original plan was for Tiger to do a three-month rehab program, which should stay on target unless something major changes,” a source told People.
“Tiger is doing the best he can with all of the pressure on him with healing and also the legal issues he faces in coming months. This has created a great deal of stress.”
“I don’t know when it will be or how he will do it, but Tiger is determined to return [to golf],” the insider added. “He has to get his pain management going in the right direction and also be able to continue a fitness routine, which will help him do the best he can when seriously playing golf. This could be tough. But it’s something he wants.”
Another source explained that he and girlfriend Vanessa Trump, who’s currently battling breast cancer, are regularly communicating and supporting each other through their individual hardships.
“They talk and share their lives as they have been doing for the entire time they have been together,” the source said.
“Tiger is a caring family guy and supportive. And so is Vanessa, also a strong woman with a full plate every day of her life,” they added.
The new development comes nearly two weeks after Woods took a brief break from rehab “to take care of some things and offer support to his girlfriend Vanessa’s health issues as well as to be here for her golfer daughter Kai’s high school graduation.”
Trump, who has been publicly dating Woods since March 2025, announced she was diagnosed with breast cancer via Instagram in May.
“I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me,” she shared at the time, revealing that she had undergone a procedure earlier that week.
As for the golfer, he continues to wait for his case to play out in court, months after he rolled his Land Rover in Jupiter Island, Florida, on March 27.
The five-time Masters Tournament champ — who has been in several vehicle accidents over the years — allegedly clipped the back of a pressure cleaner truck while attempting to pass it, which caused his own vehicle to flip.
Authorities said he showed “signs of impairment” despite showing a negative breathalyzer test. The athlete declined a urinalysis test and was later charged with refusal to submit to a lawful test.
Per a police report previously obtained by Page Six, authorities claimed they found “two white pills inside [his] side pant pocket” — later determined to be hydrocodone, a narcotic pain reliever.
Following his arrest, Woods was incarcerated at the Martin County Jail and released in the early morning hours of March 28.The golf icon faced a judge days later, where he pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor driving under the influence with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test.
Woods is set to appear in court on July 7.
