Travis Kelce Subtly Supports Wife Taylor Swift as She Attends 2026 MTV VMAs Solo

Travis Kelce wasn’t able to support wife Taylor Swift in person at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, but he still shared his love from afar.

Kelce, 36, was caught “liking” several of Billboard’s Instagram posts as Swift, also 36, arrived at the awards show in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 27.

The social media uploads showed Swift looking elegant in a sleek Tamara Ralph Couture gown with a chic halter bodice and shimmering asymmetrical skirt. She paired the look with diamond earrings from Leviev and Anita Ko and rings from Forever Diamonds and Etho Maria.

While Swift was adding to her already extensive trophy collection — she took home three awards on Sunday night, including the inaugural Artist Director Honors — Kelce was hard at work on the football field. The Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Miami Dolphins in Florida, winning 24-10.

Along with celebrating her wins for Video of the Year and Best Direction, Swift debuted her “Patient Zero” music video at the awards ceremony following the release of The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore on Friday, September 25.

“First of all, I want to say thank you to MTV for giving this platform to music videos so long ago,” Swift said before premiering the new video, which stars Colin Farrell and Dakota Johnson. “I got to start making music videos and being a part of music videos 20 years ago, and since then, I’ve gotten to be a part of making 60 music videos — roughly 60. Eighteen of those, I wrote and directed, and I really love writing and directing music videos. I’ve gotta tell you, though, that the main reason why I love writing and directing music videos so much is because you, the fans, make it so much fun. It’s so rewarding because you actually care about what we’re making.”

Swift added, “I wanna say thank you to everyone who ever worked on a music video that I got to be a part of. I learned something from every single person that ever worked alongside me on these projects.”

The pop star thanked her fans once again before the video — which also features cameos from Cara Delevingne and NFL quarterback Matthew Stafford — was finally unveiled.

Swift last attended the VMAs in 2024, taking home yet another Video of the Year win for “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone. While accepting her trophy, Swift gave a sweet shout-out to her then-boyfriend.

“The thing is that this video seems very sad when you watch it, but it actually was, like, the most fun video to make,” she said on stage. “And something that I’ll always remember is that when I would finish a take, and I’d say cut, and we’d be done with that take, I would always just hear someone, like, cheering from across the studio where we were shooting it, and that one person was my boyfriend, Travis.”

She gushed at the time, “Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic. So I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot, because I’ll always remember that.”

The couple began dating in 2023, and Kelce proposed two years later. They tied the knot this summer at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
