Watch Tom Cruise ‘vibe’ and bust out a move to celebrate Debbie Allen’s honorary Oscar

Tom Cruise busted out some dance moves with Debbie Allen at a party on Saturday — a day before they received their honorary Oscars at the Governors Awards 2025.

In a video shared to Instagram by DJ D-Nice, the “Mission Impossible” actor and the “Fame” star faced each other as they danced to Frankie Beverly and Maze’s 1981 hit “Before I Let Go” at a party hosted by the Debbie Allen Dance Academy in Los Angeles.

At one point, Cruise, who looked dapper in a black suit, spun and then placed his arm around Allen, who stunned in a floor-length floral gown, as they moved their hips side to side.

In another part of the video, the “Top Gun” star, 63, and the famed choreographer, 75, danced with “Black-ish” actress Jennifer Lewis and Allen’s older sister, Phylicia Rashad, to Luther Vandross’ “Never Too Much.”

“Last night was a vibe!” the DJ, born Derrick T. Jones, captioned the post.

“I kept the vibes flowing as we celebrated @therealdebbieallen in a major way. @tomcruise is invited to the barbecue!”

Several fans took to the comments section to praise Cruise’s dancing skills.

“Tom’s having a blast!!! Gooooo Tom!!” wrote one user.

“Nice to see Tom just having a good time and letting loose. [DJ D-Nice] is always setting the party and ushering in the good vibes,” added another.

“Ok Tom gettin loose! I can dig it,” commented a third person.

“Mr. Cruise Understood the Assignment #TwoStep,” said a fourth netizen.

The day after the party, both Cruise and Allen, along with Dolly Parton and Wynn Thomas, received their honorary Oscars at the Governors Awards, which was held at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Hollywood, Calif.

The couple split in October after nearly a year of dating.

The four honorees were announced in June.

Then-Academy president Janet Yang said at the time that the recipients were “four legendary individuals whose extraordinary careers and commitment to our filmmaking community continue to leave a lasting impact.”

Cruise appeared in good spirits despite this split from actress Ana de Armas in October after being first linked in February.
