Melissa Rivers confused by this nepo baby’s ‘unexpected’ Met Gala invite

Melissa Rivers has no idea how Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin’s daughter Amelia Gray scored a coveted invite to the 2025 Met Gala.

The “Fashion Police” star called the 23-year-old model’s attendance at fashion’s biggest night an “odd invitation” said on Page Six Radio Wednesday.

“But, who is she dating?” she asked hosts Danny Murphy and Evan Real in the episode. “She’s dating an actor, right?”

“I thought that was very interesting and unexpected. But, I think she’s dating a hot actor. That one, I’m like, ‘How did she get on the radar for this?’”

It remains unclear as to who Gray’s current partner is. Though she was last reported to be dating Scott Disick in 2021. They broke up after less than a year of dating.

Page Six has reached out to reps for Gray, but did not immediately hear back.

On Monday, Gray, 23, shocked fans in a custom Valentino look featuring a red lace bodysuit with a cropped tuxedo jacket and a black bow accent. The ensemble was paired with some high-cut briefs and a dramatic matching red lace durag that became a long train.

She also wore black gloves, Pasquale Bruni jewelry and Ray-Ban Meta sunglasses.

“This could have been a real moment for her,” Rivers, 57, said, before agreeing with Real that she “fumbled” her red carpet presentation.

Perhaps the only person not shocked by the model’s attempt at this year’s theme of “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which honored black dandyism and menswear, would have been her mother.

The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, 61, spoke on her daughters’ daring style in May 2024, telling Page Six that “It takes a lot to shock [her].”

“But I think I shock them,” said Rinna, who notably was unbothered by her youngest daughter’s topless Harper’s Bazaar France cover in 2023.

“I’m pretty jaded. I feel very comfortable out of my comfort zone. If it shocks people, great,” she continued. “I love to shock people. I love to make people go, ‘Oh my God, look what she’s done now.’”

Rinna is also mom to daughter Delilah, 25.
