The best-dressed celebrities at the MTV VMAs 2026: Taylor Swift and more

Halloween may still be a month away, but celebs are ready for spooky season — judging by the VMAs 2026 red carpet, at least.

Bold looks in witchy black were the standout trend of the night, from Teyana Taylor’s feather-trimmed, floor-sweeping Zuhair Murad Couture gown to Charli XCX’s vampiric velvet two-piece from Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello.

Corsetry also made its mark on the carpet; Taylor Swift stole the show in a sparkling, semi-sheer Tamara Ralph Couture gown that laced up the back, while Olandria and Ciara Miller both showed up in corseted leather looks — a dramatic mermaid dress for the “Love Island USA” runner-up, and an itty-itty bra top and low-rise pants for the “Summer House” alum.

Pearls were a popular choice, too, with “Off Campus” breakout star Ella Bright pairing her waist-whittling vintage Roberto Cavalli dress with a multi-strand choker and Raye looking glamorous as ever in a silver embellished Georges Hobeika Couture gown trimmed with delicate pearl drops.
