TV personality Fleur East has revealed that another celebration is underway following the announcement of her younger sister’s engagement.
This comes just four weeks after the radio host and Strictly Come Dancing star welcomed her first child, a daughter named Nova. The 36 year old star shared the news that her newborn daughter came into the world in a bizarre way – via a squat position into the arms of her husband Marcel Badiane-Robin, on their living room floor. The couple tied the knot in 2019.
And just weeks after the birth, Fleur announced that she had returned to work as she “felt ready to get back on stage.” But now, Fleur is set to be busy helping to plan the wedding of her sister Keshia, who got engaged to her boyfriend Connor. The singer re-shared a video on her Instagram story with Keshia showing off her dazzling diamond engagement ring, while on holiday with Connor.
The star wrote: “My lil sis is engaged!” She added: “Congrats @keshiaeast_ and Connor xxx.” And Keshia also shared her big news on her own social media writing: “I got a rock in Jam Rock.” Commenting underneath the post, Fleur wrote: “So so happy!!! God has blessed you both with each other! Love you both so much! Welcome to the family Con!”
The news was met with a number of messages congratulating the couple, one of which was from Strictly winner Ellie Leach. She wrote: “Ahhhhh congratulations.” Meanwhile Ellie Simmonds added: ‘This is the best news! Hugeeeee Congrats. So so happy for you both.” Molly Rainford also penned: “Congratulations to both of you guys loveeee.” And Big brother host AJ Odudu also commented:”Congratulations.”
Ahead of the birth, Fleur shared with fans that she was making the most of her time before motherhood as she shared a snap of herself on holiday, sat by a pool surrounded by palm trees. She captioned the picture: “Getting in all the chill time I can…” The star had tried to keep her pregnancy a secret but after the announcement, it seems fans were convinced they had an idea she was pregnant.
Jumping straight on to social media, one fan wrote: “I knew it!! Baggy blazers on It Takes Two covered it well! Congratulations.” Another said: “YOU ARE GONNA BE THE BEST MUM! Congratulations my fave I’m so happy for you.” And a third joked: “Huge congratulations..I did wonder when some of your outfits on It Takes Two were baggy xx.”
Fleur first met her husband in 2009 at a bar where he was working as a waiter. However, they didn’t start dating until a year later and tied the knot ten years later in Morocco. The singer had wanted to start a family of her own following the tragic death of her father in 2020, who passed away following a heart attack.
