Brittany Cartwright clarifies her relationship status with married new beau

Brittany Cartwright isn’t rushing into anything serious with her married beau.

The “Vanderpump Rules” alum set the record straight on her relationship status on Tuesday, telling TMZ that she and her reported new man Brandon Hanson are still taking things slow.

“We’re not technically boyfriend and girlfriend just yet,” she said, but noted that they’ve “known each other for 15 years.”

“I met him back in Kentucky,” she shared.

Cartwright went on to gush that Hanson is “a great person, great father” and “all around a good person.”

But, while “he’s making [her] happy,” the two are still “just seeing how it goes.”

“We’re just focused on having fun and doing our thing right now,” she said, adding “I really like him.”

Cartwright’s comments come shortly after Hanson was put on blast by his wife Jasina Stanko via social media for dating while still being married.

“He’s my husband!!!” She wrote in a TikTok video, commenting on the news of his new romance with Cartwright. She followed up the post in another comment, “That man is married.”

At the time, a source told us that the situation is actually more complex than it seems.

“Brittany’s new relationship comes at a time as they both are experiencing similar life changes,” the insider told us. “Like Brittany, he is going through a divorce, and he and his ex have been separated for the past seven months.”

Cartwright, 36, and Hanson “reconnected well after he had already been separated,” we were told at the time.

“The two have found comfort in each other as they’ve been navigating their respective divorces and personal life changes.”

The Bravolebrity was first linked to Hanson last month after they were seen hanging out publicly with friends at a party in Los Angeles.

They were later spotted packing on the PDA while enjoying a romantic getaway to Mexico later that month.

Cartwright was previously with her former “Vanderpump Rules” co-star Jax Taylor, whom she filed to divorce in August 2024 after five years of marriage. In her filing, she cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.

The two had already been separated for months at that time.

Cartwright and Taylor share a son, Cruz, 4.

Prior to her fling with Hanson, she also previously dated her ex’s friend Julien Sensley and casually dated musician Will Gittens.
