Shortly after the rapper, 30, shared a new thirst trap on Instagram on Wednesday, July 9, fans in the comments section quickly noticed Klay Thompson, 35, in the background — sparking romance buzz.

In the photo, the “Captain Hook” rapper is sitting pretty on the ledge of a hot tub and on the far left corner, the NBA star is seen relaxing on a chair. Megan simply captioned the post with a palm tree emoji and a plane emoji.

“Do we not realize klay Thompson in the back,” one Instagram user wrote, while another added, “Look out klay.”

Another commenter wrote, “My guy Klay Thompson still shooting and not missing.”

Neither Megan nor Thompson have commented on their relationship status; reps for the rapper and pro athlete did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Megan was last publicly linked to Chicago Bulls star Torrey Craig. In August of last year, the rapper accidentally shared a clip of herself carrying out a couple’s challenge with Craig on TikTok.

In the since-deleted video, Megan and Craig answered a series of questions on their relationship while shutting their eyes and pointing to the person, according to a screen recording captured by MuchMusic on TikTok.

Before Craig, Megan was linked to Pardison “Pardi” Fontaine. She confirmed their romance in February 2021 during an Instagram Live session.

By May 2023, however, Megan sparked breakup rumors when she attended a wedding with Belgian soccer player Romelu Lukaku. Her song “Cobra,” which she dropped November 2023, suggested he cheated on her. He later denied those claims.

Last month, Megan made an appearance on Love Island USA, where she hosed a challenge promoted her “Hot Girl Summer” swimwear line. After the challenge, Megan introduced two new bombshells to the villa.

Meanwhile, in May, Megan’s Hot Girl Summer swimwear line made its debut at the 2025 Paraiso Miami Swim Week. The rapper closed out the show wearing a gold one-piece from her collection.
