Harry Styles is back with his first new single in nearly three years.

On Thursday, Jan. 22, the pop star released “Aperture,” an atmospheric dance love song, which is the lead single from his upcoming fourth album Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.

“It’s best you know, What you don’t, Aperture lets the light in,” Styles, 31, sings on the track, in reference to a camera’s aperture, which controls how much of an image is visible to the photographer and affects the brightness and depth of field of the image.

“We belong together, It finally appears it’s only love,” Styles, sings on the chorus of the song over a bouncing electronic beat produced by Kid Harpoon, who also co-produced Styles’ 2022 hit “As It Was.”

“I won’t stray from it, I don’t know these spaces, Time won’t wait on me, I wanna know what safe is,” Styles sings in a quicker pace on the bridge, building a sense of finding freedom and healing through dance. The beat is understated compared with the synth-pop bombast of his 2022 album Harry’s House, and, lyrically, the song charts a new course.

Styles shared a photo of himself wearing under-eye patches and sipping on a Big Gulp on Instagram on Thursday in honor of the release. “Aperture. Out Now. Video. 17:00 UK,” Styles simply wrote in the caption.

On Tuesday, Jan. 20, Styles announced the forthcoming release of “Aperture” on Instagram by sharing a photo of himself grinning in the studio with his arms outstretched in a proud pose.

“Aperture” is the One Direction alum’s first single since 2023’s “Satellite.”

Earlier in the day on Jan. 22, Styles announced a seven-city residency called Together, Together promoted by Live Nation. The tour will include 50 stops in Amsterdam, London, São Paulo, Mexico City, New York, Melbourne, and Sydney from May through December.

The “Matilda” artist is notably set to perform 30 shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, his only shows in the United States, as well as a six-night run at Wembley Stadium.

These will be the only cities Styles performs in during 2026.

Across select dates, special guests will include Robyn, Shania Twain, Fcukers, Jorja Smith, Jamie xx, Fousheé, and Skye Newman. More information about ticket sales and the tour can be found here.

On Thursday, Jan. 15, Styles announced his new, 12-track album Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. — his first album since Harry’s House in 2022.

Following the release of Harry’s House, Styles won Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical at the 2023 Grammy Awards.

Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. is executive produced by Styles’ longtime collaborator Kid Harpoon.

To announce the news of his upcoming album, the “As It Was” performer shared the news on Instagram, as well as a funny post to his Instagram Stories, where he shared the album cover and a large arrow pointing to himself with the word “ME.”

Styles will release his fourth album Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. on March 6.
