Kim Zolciak supports 15-year-old son KJ Biermann at court following sodomy, sexual battery arrest
A stone-faced Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann steered clear of each other while appearing in court Friday to support their 15-year-old son, KJ Biermann, who is seeking bond in his sexual assault case.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum wore a sleek black dress and heels as she entered Fulton County Superior Court in Atlanta three days after the initial bond hearing was abruptly canceled.
Meanwhile, the former Atlanta Falcons linebacker sported a gray top and jeans.
Zolciak, 48, and Kroy, 40, arrived separately and didn’t interact once inside the courtroom.
An eyewitness told Page Six that the former football player looked “stressed” in the second row of the public gallery.
Zolciak, on the other hand, remained “stone-faced” throughout the hearing while sitting beside her 29-year-old daughter, Brielle Biermann, in the third row.
An eyewitness separately spotted the exes earlier this week, describing Zolciak as “hectic and scattered” while “walking at a hurried pace.”
“Kroy just looked devastated,” the source told us. “You could see it in his eyes. He seemed to be in a very somber mood.
“It is what you would expect with the week they’re having and the stakes if KJ doesn’t get bonded out of jail,” the source added.
The court date marks the first time the former couple has been photographed in the same location since they were snapped at their 14-year-old son Kash’s high school football game last month.
Last week, a Georgia grand jury indicted the teenager on seven felony counts, including aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, false imprisonment and three counts of sexual battery involving a child under the age of 16.
The charges stem from KJ’s alleged acts against a victim under the age of 16 on April 23 at a Lifetime Fitness in Alpharetta, Georgia.
His attorney, Jason Sheffield, told Page Six Tuesday that they expect KJ to “enter a not guilty plea to all charges” at his upcoming arraignment and also filed a motion to “transfer to juvenile court and for confidentiality proceedings.”
Zolciak has maintained her son’s innocence, telling Page Six in a statement, “He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged.”
“Every legitimate allegation deserves to be taken seriously and investigated based on the facts and evidence. At the same time, no one should be publicly condemned based solely on an accusation,” she wrote.
Kroy has yet to speak publicly on his son’s arrest.
