Millie Bobby Brown Gushes Over Daughter in Sweet ‘Celebrity Substitute’ Clip: ‘Apple of My Eye’ (Exclusive)
Millie Bobby Brown is returning to Celebrity Substitute with a new outlook after becoming a mother.
“I’m honestly worried that I’m not going to give good advice. I don’t want to knock anything out of them. I’m here as a mom now. So it’s a different lens,” the actress, 22, says in Us Weekly’s exclusive first look of Celebrity Substitute season 3. “I think honestly before my daughter, I probably would have been like, ‘All right here’s our boot camp.’”
Now, Brown is taking more of a “gentle parenting” approach this time around, adding that she wants the kids “to be who you are” and to always feel “loved and supported.”
“My daughter is like the apple of my eye” she gushes, adding that being a mother “gives you a different perspective.”
Brown continues, “I always understood my parents and what they were talking about but now I deeply understand what they’re talking about.”
Brown and husband Jake Bongiovi, who tied the knot in 2024, welcomed a daughter via adoption the following year. (The couple have not publicly revealed their child’s name.)
“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the pair wrote in a joint Instagram statement in August 2025. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”
Earlier this year, Brown opened up about going through the adoption process.
“Every journey is different. Waiting for the call is the hardest part,” Brown said during a June episode of Kylie Kelce’s “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, before sharing her advice for others undergoing a similar journey. “I just would always encourage you to understand that every journey is different. Don’t compare yourself to others, don’t compare yourself to statistics, don’t compare yourself to other families, but your baby is out there, and you’ll find each other.”
In this new season of the award winning digital series, produced by EGOT winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, Brown will teach a classroom of film students in New York City. At the end of each episode, Amazon helps clear items from a lucky teacher’s Amazon Classroom List, streamlining how teachers build and share resources for classrooms and students in their community.
In addition to Brown, Celebrity Substitute season 3 will feature appearances from members of Katseye, Tom Holland, SZA, Matt Rogers, Bowen Yang, Maluma, Quinta Brunson, Alex Warren, Ziwe, Idris Elba, Latto and Charlie Puth.
Browns’ episode premieres on July 14 at 8 pm ET on the Celebrity Substitute YouTube channel. For more information visit Celebrity Substitute on their YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.
