NFL Star Zach Wilson and Wife Nicolette Welcome 1st Baby 7 Weeks Early: ‘Stronger Every Day’
NFL quarterback Zach Wilson and his wife, Nicolette, welcomed their first baby more than a month earlier than expected.
“Our sweet Francesca Belle came into the world seven weeks early on July 22nd, and we couldn’t love her more. 🤍,” read a joint Instagram post shared by the couple on Thursday, August 6. “She has been an absolute rockstar in the NICU, growing stronger every single day, and we can’t wait for the day we finally bring her home!”
The caption continued, “Miss Frankie Girl, you’ve already changed our lives in the most beautiful way. You’ve filled our hearts with a love we never knew was possible, and we couldn’t love you more, sweet baby girl!!!”
In the accompanying photo, the 27-year-old athlete and his wife snuggled up with their newborn, who was draped with a pink blanket.
Wilson proposed to Nicolette in 2024, and the couple tied the knot one year later in New York City. Nicolette announced her pregnancy in March with a handful of photos from a maternity shoot.
“You are already so loved, baby 🤍,” she gushed at the time.
The following month, the pair learned they would be welcoming a daughter. Nicolette shared a glimpse of the over-the-top sex reveal, which included a mountain of pink, blue and white balloons and a light-up sign reading, “Oh Baby.” In one photo, a puff of pink smoke was released behind the parents-to-be.
“Halfway to meeting our… baby GIRL 💕🥹,” Nicolette captioned the Instagram post.
In June, Nicolette celebrated her pregnancy with a sweet baby shower, wearing a pale pink dress with a large bow. Wilson also made an appearance at the bash, cradling his wife’s baby bump.
“The sweetest celebration for baby girl🎀 we can’t wait to meet you!” she wrote via Instagram.
Wilson played college football for the BYU Cougars before being selected by the New York Jets in the 2021 NFL Draft. He was the team’s starting quarterback for three seasons before being acquired by the Denver Broncos in 2024. Wilson did not see any time on the field that season.
In 2025, he signed a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins worth $6 million, playing in just four games. Earlier this year, news broke that Wilson signed a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints at $1.4 million.
