Nina Dobrev ditched Shaun White engagement ring at TIFF appearance before breakup news

The ring didn’t mean a thing.

Nina Dobrev ditched her engagement ring during her red carpet appearance at the Toronto Film Festival over the weekend — just days before news surfaced that she and Shaun White had split after five years of dating.

The “Vampire Diaries” alum attended the premiere of “Eternity” during TIFF at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto, Ontario, Sunday.

Dobrev, 36, stunned in a spaghetti strap black silk gown and sparkly silver stilettos as she posed on the red carpet for photos.

However, her five-carat diamond ring by Lorraine Schwartz was noticeably missing from her left hand.

Dobrev’s outing came four days before a source close to the pair told People that the actress and White, 39, ended their engagement.

“It was a mutual decision, and wasn’t an easy one, but it was made with love and a deep respect for one another,” the insider told the outlet Thursday.

Dobrev and the pro snowboarder were last photographed running errands together on Aug. 31 in Los Angeles.

The “Degrassi The Next Generation” actress also posted a carousel of photos earlier this week, where she was still rocking her engagement sparkler.

It’s unclear why Dobrev and White called it quits. Page Six reached out to their reps for comment but did not immediately hear back.

Last October, the pair confirmed their engagement on Instagram.

“RIP boyfriend, hello fiancé 💍♾️,” Dobrev captioned a post, which featured a carousel of snaps from the special moment inside The Golden Swan.

“I went into shock,” Dobrev told Vogue of the surprise proposal. “I just froze and stared at him.”  

The couple was later joined by their close friends to celebrate the exciting news with caviar, champagne, dumplings and Shake Shack.

The “Originals” alum and the three-time Olympic gold medalist went public with their romance in May 2020.
