Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs once invited then-12-year-old Daveigh Chase to ‘after-party’
A controversial video showing Sean “Diddy” Combs inviting a preteen Daveigh Chase to an “after-party” has resurfaced in the wake of the former child star’s tragic death.
Chase — who was homeless and struggling with addiction when she died Tuesday at the age of 35 — was 12 years old when Combs, who was 33 at the time, mentioned partying together after the 2003 MTV Movie Awards.
The clip shows the rapper — who has since been accused of sexual misconduct toward other individuals — walking up to Chase backstage with a drink in his hand and asking, “You coming to the after-party tonight?”
The actress nods yes, prompting Combs — who was known for throwing wild Hollywood parties — to laugh mischievously and say, “Yeah!”
The two had seemingly met earlier in the night when the music mogul and Ashton Kutcher, then 25, presented Chase with the villain award for her chilling portrayal of Samara Morgan in the supernatural horror film “The Ring.”
When Chase went up to accept her award during the live show, the actor — who once hinted at knowing secrets about party-loving Combs — leaned in to tell her she was “doing so good” while gently patting her arms.
Combs, for his part, encouraged her to “take [her] time” while at the podium.
Kutcher was present when Combs later invited Chase to the after-party, but he simply laughed off the inappropriate gesture.
In July 2025, Combs was convicted of two felony counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Three months later, he was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison; however, his sentence has been reduced multiple times since.
Following his eight-week trial, the Bad Boy Records founder was acquitted of the more severe charges: sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion (two counts) and racketeering conspiracy (one count).
Meanwhile, Kutcher’s own behavior over the years — including making sexual comments about underage girls and lauding convicted rapist Danny Masterson as a “role model” — has been called into question.
News broke earlier this week that Chase — who voiced Lilo in Disney’s 2002 animated movie Lilo & Stitch” — had died while living on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles.
She was severely malnourished at the time of her passing, which was reportedly due to meningitis and a blood infection that caused her body to turn septic.
