Who is Michael Reinstein? Meet private equity investor spotted with Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman might have a new man in her life.

The actress was spotted saying bye to businessman Michael Reinstein outside her Italy hotel room on July 18, 2026.

The “Big Little Lies” star was all smiles — and rocking a sultry satin skirt set — during the headline-making interaction.

While the duo refrained from outright PDA, they were seen laughing and chatting on daybeds while relaxing poolside that same day.

It is unclear how the pair met.

Kidman, who has yet to comment on the flirty outing, filed for divorce from ex-husband Keith Urban in December 2025 after nearly two decades of marriage.

His education

Reinstein was born in Los Angeles, California, where he still resides.

He left the state to attend Southern Methodist University in New Mexico — but ultimately graduated from the University of Southern California.

He went on to study law from Pepperdine University and is a member of the State Bar of California.

His career

Reinstein, who started his career with an internship under former President Ronald Reagan, worked at ICM Partners before co-founding the USN television network in 2003.

He founded his private equity firm, Regent, a decade later and serves as the Beverly Hills-based company’s chairman and chief executive officer.

According to Reinstein’s bio, he “has led more than 45 acquisitions across automotive, industrial, consumer, luxury, media and technology sectors spanning every continent” and “has grown [Regent] to more than 40,000 employees across 65 countries.”

Additionally, Reinstein founded the Military Charity Organization in 2018.

His social media presence

Reinstein had an Instagram presence — albeit a private one — when photos of him and Kidman surfaced.

At the time, he boasted 43.6K followers.

He appears to have since deactivated the social media account.
