Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato reunite for first time in a decade
Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato had a reunion ten years in the making.
The “Only Murders in the Building” star shocked fans when she attended the opening concert of Lovato’s It’s Not That Deep Tour at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida, on Monday.
Gomez, 33, took to Instagram Stories to document her outing — even sharing a photo of her hugging Lovato backstage.
In a separate slide, Gomez gushed about how “blown away” she was by Lovato’s show.
“I am in tears,” she wrote on the snapshot. “@ddlovato – this was hands down one of the best shows. Oh and the VOCALS? Psh *blown away.”
Another slide featured a video of Gomez dancing in her suite, wearing a black-and-pink “It’s Not That Deep” hoodie.
During the concert, fellow Disney alum — and Lovato’s ex — Joe Jonas made a guest appearance to sing two songs from their “Camp Rock” days. Famously, Gomez also dated Joe’s brother Nick Jonas from 2008 to 2010.
Gomez and Lovato go way back, co-starring on “Barney & Friends” in 2002.
The duo remained close during their Disney days, as Gomez starred on “Wizards of Waverly Place” and Lovato was on “Sonny with a Chance.” They even co-starred in the 2009 movie “Princess Protection Program.”
However, shortly after they walked away from Disney, the two appeared to have a falling out — which Lovato confirmed in a 2020 interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
“I’m not friends with her,” Lovato told the magazine.
However, she quickly clarified, “When you grow up with somebody, you’re always going to have love for them. … I will always have love for her, and I wish everybody nothing but the best.”
Lovato also noted at the time that Miley Cyrus is the “only [person] from that era” that she remained in contact with.
But Lovato and Gomez eventually made up, as evident when Lovato congratulated Gomez on her engagement to Benny Blanco last year.
“I just wish her the best,” the “Heart Attack” singer said on “Watch What Happens Live” in September.
Lovato also gushed over Gomez and Blanco’s joint “I Said I Love You First” album.
“Really, really great job. I love the songs on it,” she shared.
Gomez and Blanco, 38, tied the knot later that month in Santa Barbara, California.
Lovato, meanwhile, got married to musician Jutes in Santa Barbara in May 2025.
Gomez and Lovato did not attend each other’s weddings.
