Stylists making secretive pulls for Swift and Kelce wedding
It’s all being shrouded in a lavender haze.
We hear fashion and jewelry houses have been fielding unusually cryptic requests from stylists for guests expected to attend Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s closely guarded wedding celebration this week.
“Stylists normally say the event when they pull,” says a source. “Requests are coming in from Swift’s friends where they say ‘event’ or ‘private occasion.’ It’s so tight lipped. No one is putting anything in writing.”
The secrecy doesn’t stop there.
We’re told brands aren’t even being given exact dates that people will need the items — just vague windows of time.
Another source tells us that NDAs are in place to make sure nothing gets leaked.
An insider tells us that while some guests may be pulling looks, others may be having outfits made custom or having couture pieces brought in from Europe.
As for the bride, don’t expect just one show-stopping dress.
A source told Page Six earlier this week that Swift is expected to have multiple outfit changes throughout the celebration and will select from several custom bridal designs before making her final choice on what to wear down the aisle.
Monse designers Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia — the former creative directors at Oscar de la Renta and longtime Swift favorites — have created a custom look that’s considered a leading contender, said a source.
The design duo have dressed Swift for some of her biggest fashion moments, including the MTV VMAs, the Grammy Awards, multiple red carpets, the Eras Tour, Selena Gomez’s wedding and, most recently, Travis Kelce’s Tight End University festivities in Nashville.
Their bridal résumé is impressive, dressing Amal Clooney, Paris Hilton and Naomi Watts for their big day.
Don’t expect to spot Swift ducking into an atelier for last-minute fittings.
An industry source tells us stars with longstanding relationships with major fashion houses often have mannequins made to their exact measurements.
Swift and Kelce’s wedding is expected to take place over July 3rd weekend at Madison Square Garden in New York City with guests including Ed Sheeran, Gigi Hadid, the Haim sisters, Sombr, Suki Waterhouse, Cara Delevingne, Mariska Hargitay, and Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid.
