Travis Kelce speaks out about Taylor Swift buying back her music: ‘It’s finally hers’

Travis Kelce is one proud boyfriend.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, couldn’t help but gush over his girlfriend Taylor Swift finally buying back her masters in what is said to be a colossal $360 million deal.

Speaking on his and brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast Wednesday, the 3-time Super Bowl champ beamed from ear to ear as he chatted with their guest Shaquille O’Neal.

During the episode, O’Neal — a self-proclaimed Swiftie — played her hit track “I Knew You Were Trouble” on his phone while mouthing the lyrics to the tune.

Infected by the former NBA champ’s spirit, Travis and Jason began to bop their heads to the 2012 track.

“That’s my favorite song in the world, brother,” O’Neal, 53, says in a preview clip of the podcast episode, prompting the Kelce brothers to applaud him.

“Shout out to Tay Tay,” Travis then said. “Just got that song back, too. Just bought all her music back so it’s finally hers, man, I appreciate that, dog. Love you big dog.”

The NFL star’s support comes just days after the 14-time Grammy winner, 35, announced she was able to buy back the entire music catalog of her first six studio albums.

“I’m trying to gather my thoughts into something coherent, but right now my mind is just a slideshow,” she wrote in a lengthy message on her official website Friday.

“A flashback sequence of all the time I daydreamed about, wished for, and pined away for a chance to get to tell this news. All the times I was thiiiiiiiiiiis close, reaching out for it, only for it to fall through.

“I almost stopped thinking it could ever happen, after 20 years of having the carrot dangled and then yanked away. But that’s all in the past now. I’ve been bursting into tears of joy at random intervals ever since I found that this is really happening. I really get to say those words.

“All of the music I’ve ever made … now belongs… to me.”

Swift reiterated that her entire catalog — which consists of music videos, concert films, album art and photography, unreleased songs, plus “the memories, the magic, the madness, every single era, [her] entire life’s work” — belongs to her.

In 2019, record executive Scooter Braun bought the rights to her first six albums — “Taylor Swift,” “Fearless,” “Speak Now,” “Red,” “1989” and “Reputation” — for $300 million (allegedly without her approval) before they were acquired by the investment firm Shamrock Capital a year later.

In 2018, however, Swift inked a new deal with Universal Music Group and Republic Records, where she recorded and owns the masters of “Lover,” “Folklore,” “Evermore,” “Midnights” and “The Tortured Poets Department.”

She also broke her social media silence to celebrate the win by sharing photos of her sitting with her first six original albums fanned around her.

“You belong with me,” she captioned the post, quoting her famous 2008 song.
