West Wilson defends Amanda Batula romance in first interview, clarifies ‘actual timeline’
West Wilson is setting the record straight on the “actual timeline” of his and Amanda Batula’s shocking romance.
The “Show Me Something” co-host returned to the podcast Monday to discuss the drama with Sophie Cunningham.
“There was no overlap,” the “Summer House” star, 31, insisted. “I know there are a thousand different theories right now, but that is one thing that for sure did not happen.”
The Bravolebrity doubled down, claiming “everyone was single” when he and Batula, 34, got together.
“We realized things were maybe a little bit serious in February, and that’s when this all started,” he explained. “There’s not a whole lot more to it than that.”
While Wilson defended Batula against the “brunt” of online comments from people with “s–t to talk,” he did acknowledge that their bombshell relationship has “hurt people [they] care about.”
The reality star noted that he hasn’t yet “gotten responses from everybody” he’s texted from the cast.
“I get it,” he told podcast listeners. “But the reunion is coming up, and I can give those apologies face-to-face and also clear up crazy s–t.”
As for how Wilson is faring, he quipped that he’s “been better.”
Wilson said, “A lot has happened in a very short amount of time, obviously, and [I’m] trying to take it a day at a time and just stay off my phone. But the Internet is a very scary place to be.”
Rumors began swirling in March that Batula and her BFF Ciara Miller’s ex-boyfriend were an item.
The duo confirmed their “connection” in a joint Instagram Story statement late last month, with Page Six reporting they are in a “full-blown relationship.”
We heard Wilson was in an “exclusive” relationship with a woman named Meija Moreno when his and Batula’s secret was exposed.
A source told us Wilson had assured Moreno, publicly referred to as “Montana girl,” that rumors about himself and Batula were simply speculation.
Reps for Wilson and Batula did not respond to Page Six’s requests for comment at the time.
Batula has not spoken out about the scandal — besides a social media statement earlier this month about returning to “some sense of normalcy” — but has flaunted the romance on multiple public dates, from movie nights to Yankee Stadium PDA.
Miller, for her part, blasted the couple’s “mindf–k” of a betrayal in a Glamour interview published last week.
“At the end of the day, a guy’s a guy. Whether or not West and I are working on a relationship, you just can’t put anything past a man,” the 30-year-old nurse, who dated Wilson in 2023, said Friday.
“I just never would think that it would come from someone like Amanda, who has been what has felt like in my circle and in my corner for so long.”
Batula’s estranged husband, Kyle Cooke, made headlines over the weekend for commenting a barf emoji on his ex’s baseball game makeout with Wilson.
“Was not prepared to see that. And that. And that,” he wrote via Instagram.
The Loverboy creator, notably, separated from Batula late last year and was recently photographed locking lips with “Real Housewives of Orange County” alum Meghan King.
