Kathy Griffin’s recent health scare was no laughing matter.

The comedian called herself “TMI” before telling followers in a Thursday Instagram post, “I spent the night in the hospital because I had complications from my colonoscopy.”

“I know, I know, very sexy but I am home now with the doggies where I belong,” Griffin, 65, added.

The second slide in the carousel included a smiling selfie of the famously red-headed comic.

Griffin captioned the post, “A not so tech savvy update.”

Followers quickly flocked to the comment section to share their well-wishes for the reality star.

“Hope you’re feeling better ❤️,” one person wrote, while a second chimed in, “Glad you’re okay! We need your wit and truth now more than ever!”

Rounding out the sweet messages, another social media user penned, “I’m glad you’re home now. Get better soon. ❤️.”

The “Suddenly Susan” actress has never shied away from sharing her life with her fans.

In August 2021, ABC’s “Nightline” aired a sit-down interview with Griffin in which she detailed her past addiction to prescription drugs.

The Emmy winner also spoke about hitting a breaking point in early 2020 when her thoughts of suicide became “obsessive.”

“I started really convincing myself it was a good decision,” she confessed. “I got my living revocable trust in order. I had all my ducks in a row. I wrote the note — the whole thing.”

At the time, Griffin also revealed on social media that she had been diagnosed with lung cancer despite never having smoked.

“I’m about to go into surgery to have half of my left lung removed,” she shared via social media.

By December 2021, Griffin announced she was “cancer-free.”

The “My Life on the D-List” alum noted that her voice had also changed a bit post-surgery.

“It will heal, but I’m sort of enjoying it,” Griffin detailed. “I’m a good two octaves higher, I think … it’s higher than Mariah Carey.”

Reflecting on her journey in a separate post, she expressed, “To be honest, this cancer surgery was a little more than I had anticipated.”

Griffin recalled her last hospitalization was when she “overdosed on prescription pills” in a suicide attempt.

However, the former “Fashion Police” co-host also praised herself for how far she had come.

“With over a year clean and drug free, I now know I can do this and anything I want without those devil pills,” Griffin stated. “Y’know what? I fear drugs and addiction more than I fear cancer. So, I think I’ll be OK.”
