‘90 Day Fiance’ star Jenny Slatten getting ‘weaker by the day’ amid ALS battle

“90 Day Fiancé” star Jenny Slatten is getting “weaker by the day” as she continues to battle amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

The reality star’s friend Penny shared the heartbreaking update on Wednesday via a GoFundMe set up for Slatten.

“Jenny is getting weaker by the day, she is on 2 medications for ALS which are Edaravone and Riluzole both supposed to slow the process down, both pills make Jenny very tired, plus she takes b12, melatonin and magnesium,” she explained.

Penny added that Slatten “hardly speaks” because it hurts to do so. Therefore, Slatten’s husband, Sumit Singh, has been communicating for her.

“Sumit speaks more for her and is the main spokesperson for his wife,” she explained. “Sumit is Jenny’s main caregiver and doing a great job each day.”

Although Slatten’s condition continues to worsen, Penny shared that her loved ones are hopeful she will respond to new treatments.

“There are trials that have shown great response with Acupuncture and other Holistic services that can greatly improve with mobility and feeling less tired,” Penny wrote.

Last month, Slatten, 68, and Singh, 38, revealed she lost the ability to speak.

At the time, the couple shared a video via Instagram in which Singh asked Slatten if she wanted to say something to their fans, to which she slowly responded, “No, I can’t talk.”

Singh then shared, “Unfortunately, the ALS is progressing and it’s starting to show more in her talk, like, it’s hard for her to talk now.”

The pair previously defended setting up a GoFundMe to help cover Slatten’s medical expenses, explaining that she doesn’t have medical insurance in India and didn’t want to be “a burden” to her three daughters in the US.

Additionally, Singh explained that going to the US wasn’t an immediate option for them since it wasn’t easy for him to get a visa and she would have a hard time traveling solo.

Slatten went public with her devastating ALS diagnosis in May.

She received her diagnosis in December 2025, one year after starting to show frightening symptoms, which included choking “badly” while drinking water.

Slatten and Singh have been providing fans with updates on her condition ever since.

The fan-favorite couple got married in 2021. Their wedding in India was aired during the Season 3 finale of “90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way.”
