Bikini-clad Denise Richards recreates iconic ‘Wild Things’ pool scene in new photoshoot

Denise Richards is still wild 28 years later.

The actress, 55, recreated the iconic pool scene from her 1998 film, “Wild Things,” for a new photo shoot, makeup artist Pamela Brogardi shared on Instagram Friday.

In footage Brogardi posted, Richards submerges her long hair in a pool, slicks back her hair and poses seductively for the camera.

She also shared a photo of Richards rocking the slicked-back ‘do with her hands on the sides of her neck, wearing a lacy black robe and a black swimsuit underneath. Her pose strategically covered her breasts.

“Sneak peek from today’s shoot 📸,” Brogardi captioned her post.

In the 1998 erotic thriller, Richards and her co-star Neve Campbell share a racy scene in the pool, in which they passionately kiss. The movie poster features her and Campbell emerging from the clear blue water with their hair wet, with their male co-stars Matt Dillon and Kevin Bacon also featured posing separately.

Richards and Campbell played high school students in the ’90s cult classic, who accuse their guidance counselor (played by Dillon) of rape. Bacon played a corrupt cop who investigates the alleged crimes.

Despite mixed reviews at the time, the film was a commercial success and spawned two television film sequels, 2004’s “Wild Things 2″ and ” 2005’s “Wild Things: Diamonds in the Rough.”

“Wild Things: Foursome,” the fourth installment, was released directly to DVD in 2010.

In 2022, Richards looked back on the iconic pool scene in “Wild Things,” admitting that filming was “terrifying.”

“It was the first time I had filmed anything like that, so I was obviously extremely nervous,” she told the Guardian. “There are a couple of scenes that are very risque. There’s a lot of choreography of figuring out who’s going where, so it’s not as sexy as people think.”

She added, “I’m sure people must think that behind the scenes it’s very exciting, but it’s not. But I’m glad it comes off that sexy in the movie.”

In 2019, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum said she didn’t let her daughters — who were all under 16 at the time — watch the film because it wasn’t “age appropriate.”

“I definitely did not give them a copy,” she told Yahoo Lifestyle Australia. “I told them, ‘I don’t want you guys watching this’ because one of my daughters brought it up to me and I was shocked.”

She also acknowledged how her sex symbol status in films affects her daughters — Sami, 22, Lola, 21, and Eloise, 15.

“My girls are starting to get older,” she shared at the time. “They have friends saying, ‘I saw this picture of your mom.’”

“It’s weird for them, to see their mom in something that’s sexy or different,” she continued. “I think it would be very rude for me if it were my parents.”
