Candace Cameron Bure, Oliver Hudson and more star in epic ‘Special Forces’ poster
Fame means nothing in the jungle — at least according to the new key art for Season 5 of Fox’s “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.”
Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” can exclusively reveal the action-packed poster for the upcoming season, which prominently features celebrity recruits Candace Cameron Bure, Oliver Hudson and David Charvet as they trade their Hollywood glam for military-inspired training gear.
The trio is among 15 famous faces who will put their physical and mental strength to the ultimate test as they attempt to survive the grueling reality competition.
This season, the celebrity recruits are heading to Malaysia, where they’ll face what Fox describes as “the most hostile environment a soldier could operate in… the jungle.”
And judging from the challenges ahead, the tropical setting won’t exactly be a vacation.
The recruits will have to adapt to uncomfortable conditions, unpredictable terrain and punishing jungle warfare tasks. Challenges include a claustrophobic, high-pressure search of an underground bunker for crucial military weapons, a supply-load retrieval while suspended 300 feet above the jungle floor and a chemical gassing exercise that requires them to locate coordinates of an enemy vessel.
Throughout the experiment, the celebrities will be pushed to their limits by the show’s Directing Staff, an elite team of former special forces operatives: Rudy Reyes, Billy Billingham, Jason “Foxy” Fox and Jovon “Q” Quarles.
Joining Bure, Hudson and Charvet this season are Matt Barnes, Alycia Baumgardner, Brandi Glanville, Collin Gosselin, LeSean McCoy, Maxim Naumov, Ruby Rose, George Santos, Hannah Stocking, Bre Tiesi, Alexia Umansky and Mauricio Umansky.
But while the cast may be accustomed to red carpets, cameras and celebrity treatment, the Season 5 poster makes one thing clear: Once they enter the jungle, their fame won’t count for much.
As the key art declares, “Fame means nothing in the jungle.”
The recruits will have to prove they have what it takes to make it to the end — one brutal challenge at a time.
“Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” Season 5 premieres Thursday, Sept. 24, at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
