Cassie Shares Rare Social Media Post After Diddy Trial to Honor Husband Alex Fine on Father’s Day
Singer Cassie is sharing a rare social media post in honor of her husband, Alex Fine, following her emotional and at times disturbing testimony in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ high-profile sex trafficking trial.
“Happy Father’s Day,” Cassie, real name Cassandra Ventura, wrote in four separate posts shared via her Instagram Stories on Sunday, June 21. “We love you so much!”
In the various uploads, Cassie showed Fine in his natural state as a father to their two daughters, Frankie and Sunny. (Cassie and Fine, who married in 2019, are also parents to a baby boy.)
In one upload, the actor and entrepreneur was four wheeling with one of his children. In another, Fine could be seen walking the family dog alongside another one of his daughters. In another, the father-daughter pair can be seen go-carting. (All the photos of the children feature an emoji expertly placed over their faces to protect their identity.)
And in the final upload, Cassie can be seen posing alongside her husband while the pair make the “heart” symbol with their hands.
Cassie welcomed the couple’s son just weeks after her shocking testimony against her ex-boyfriend Combs, who was arrested in September 2024 and charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. For four days, a very visibly pregnant Cassie testified against Diddy, claiming the rapper physically and sexually abused her throughout their on-again, off-again relationship from 2007 to 2018. (Diddy has denied all the allegations against him.)
“I don’t hate him,” Cassie said of her ex-boyfriend during the trial. “I have love for the past, and what it was.”
Diddy was ultimately found guilty of transportation for prostitution, though he was acquitted of the more severe charges. He was sentenced to four years in federal prison. His legal team has attempted to appeal the conviction.
“Cassie is doing really well and prefers a low-key life out of the spotlight now,” a source close to the former R&B singer exclusively told Us Weekly back in June of the singer’s low-key life following the trial. “It was emotionally draining for her to testify in Diddy’s trial, and she is glad that chapter is behind her.”
The insider added at the time, “She has to work through those emotions every day. What she went through was so traumatic, and she is still continuously getting therapy and living with the trauma. It is something she has to work on every day.”
