Jane Seymour, 75, confirms engagement to John Zambetti after 3 years of dating
From medicine woman to married woman.
Jane Seymour confirmed she is engaged to John Zambetti after three years of dating.
“Someone decided they wanted to be with me for the rest of their lives. My singer-songwriter,” the “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” star gushed to Us Weekly at the Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Thursday.
Seymour, 75, showed off her engagement ring, adding that she is “very excited” about blending her and 78-year-old Zambetti’s families due to their passion for music.
“We’ve been together three years now,” Seymour continued. “And there’s nothing but music in my house. He’s a singer-songwriter. His son is a singer-songwriter. My son is a singer-songwriter.”
Seymour was previously married to theater director Michael Attenborough from 1971 to 1973, author Geoffrey Planer from 1977 to 1978, business manager David Flynn from 1981 to 1992 and actor James Keach from 1993 to 2015.
The “Harry Wild” star shares Katherine, 44, and Sean, 40, with Flynn, and is stepmom to Flynn’s daughter, Jenni, 46.
After marrying Keach, she became a stepmom to his son, Kaelen, 56, before welcoming twins Kristopher and John, 30.
For his part, Zambetti — who has been part of the band The Malibooz since the 60s — was previously married for 43 years and shares two children with his ex.
The “Live and Let Die” actress first debuted her romance with Zambetti on Instagram in October 2023, after being set up by their children at a Shwayze concert.
“I’ve never been happier. 🥰,” Seymour captioned a shot of the pair all dressed up.
In November, Seymour told Hello! magazine that she “never thought” she’d find “a really committed, healthy, lovely, loving relationship” at this time in her life.
“But I’m incredibly blessed that I have,” she mused, “70 is the new 50.”
Seymour knows she met her now-fiancé “at exactly the right time.”
“You’ve had a life. Many lives. And children, and grandchildren, and careers, and ups and downs. You know what you want,” she continued.
“I consider both of us so fortunate to have found each other at the time we have, because it wouldn’t have ever worked earlier,” Seymour told the outlet.
The actress explained that before meeting Zambetti, who has also worked as an ER physician, he “had a different life.”
“His world was medicine and touring, and mine was running around the world making movies. I think we met each other at exactly the right time.”
