Jason Sudeikis’ old mail helps NYC woman realize she’s living in ‘Ted Lasso’ star’s former apartment
Jason Sudeikis’ old mail helped one New York City woman realize she was living in the “Ted Lasso” star’s former apartment — and led her to meet the actor at the show’s Season 4 premiere.
Mental health counselor and content creator Taylor Palmby went viral on Instagram last week after revealing she had been receiving Sudeikis’ mail since moving into her Manhattan apartment in May 2025.
Palmby began receiving the “Horrible Bosses” actor’s mail about a month after moving in, including correspondence from the Writers Guild of America, the Producers Guild of America and “For Your Consideration” awards screeners.
“I was like, ‘No way. There’s no way this is the same Jason Sudeikis. There’s no way,’” Palmby told People.
“Then I looked it up on the internet, and I found some website with him on it had this as his address. I was like, ‘Oh, my god, I think that I’m living in Jason Sudeikis’ old apartment.’”
Palmby revealed the deliveries kept arriving over the next year, with about five pieces of mail showing up at her apartment.
“I don’t know why, but I was like, ‘It has become my job now to get this mail to Jason Sudeikis,’” she said.
Hoping to get the mail to its rightful owner, Palmby posted videos on social media after seeing another creator successfully catch Michael B. Jordan’s attention by sharing her grandmother’s framed photo of the “Sinners” actor.
“The amount of people that know Jason Sudeikis is amazing,” she said.
“I have so many DMs, ‘I’m his cousin. I know his sister. You can connect to this management company. My boyfriend is best friends with him or my ex knows him.’ It was like six degrees of Kevin Bacon, but one degree of Jason Sudeikis.”
The videos eventually caught the attention of Sudeikis’ PR team, who invited Palmby to attend the Tuesday NYC premiere of “Ted Lasso” Season 4, where she finally got the chance to hand over the actor’s mail.
“He was really sweet,” Palmby said. “And he was like, ‘I didn’t even recognize the apartment.’”
The unusual encounter comes as Sudeikis recently opened up about why he almost didn’t return for a fourth season of the hit Apple TV+ comedy.
The actor, who reportedly earned $1 million per episode for Season 3, said he initially turned down another season because he believed Ted’s story had reached its natural conclusion.
“That wasn’t a negotiation tactic,” Sudeikis told the Hollywood Reporter.
“The story was told. Ted went home to be with his son. I wasn’t going to have Ted uproot their life to justify the money truck. It made no sense to me,” he added.
