Judy Gold fields ‘brazen’ antisemitism at NYC comedy clubs

A veteran New York standup tells Page Six she’s “shocked [by] how brazen” antisemites have become at the city’s comedy clubs.

Judy Gold was left “stunned” when she encountered Jew-hating hecklers at two different comedy clubs over the weekend.

Gold, 63, was performing at the New York Comedy Club on Friday night when a vile audience member shouted “You’re a Jew” as a slur.

Gold, who has been performing stand-up for over 40 years, says she has encountered plenty of annoying audience members, but nothing like this.

“[This] one guy was being really disruptive, and I said, ‘You’re annoying for a comedian,’ the “Search Party” alum told us. “I was just talking to him because the crowd was great and he would just yell s–t.”

“I’ve been doing this since I was 19, I can handle anything,” she tells Page Six, but admits to being stunned over his hate-fueled heckle.

A source at the Upper West Side club tells Page Six that the bigoted bully didn’t go gently.

“He was talking back to the security guy,” says the witness. “Wanted to get in his face, wanted to fight him outside.”

Club staff eventually got him to pay his bill and leave.

Gold is grateful to the comedy club for swiftly ejecting the loudmouth.

But that wasn’t the “Yes, I Can Say That” author’s only encounter with antisemitism over the weekend.

The following night, the Emmy-award-winning comedian had another unsavory experience at a Manhattan club she declined to name.

“Some guy made a comment about Jews being cheap, so I said, ‘Thanks for bringing that trope back from 1600,” she recalled, noting that this patron wasn’t tossed out.

Gold said she’s “shocked” by “how brazen” racists have become, remembering that the last time she heard anything like that was decades ago.

“The last time it happened was 30 plus years ago in Marietta, Georgia,” she told us. “Someone yelled out, ‘Jews have all the money,’ and I said, ‘Yeah, that’s why I’m doing this gig in Marietta, Georgia.”
