NBC Fall 2026 TV Schedule for New, Returning Shows: ‘One Chicago,’ ‘Law and Order,’ ‘Traitors’ and More

NBC is starting its fall season with several shows returning while dealing with offscreen cast exits.

The One Chicago franchise has made headlines over the years as cast members often come and go across all three shows. Before season 15 of Chicago Fire, multiple outlets confirmed that Joe Miñoso was leaving the hit NBC series, but he is still expected to appear in several episodes when the show returns.

Showrunner Andrea Newman also exited after spending more than a decade behind the scenes. News later broke that Dermot Mulroney is also leaving following his brief return in the season 14 finale earlier this year. Mulroney’s Dom Pascal was noticeably missing for several episodes throughout the season, with Rob Morgan (Andre Hopkins) taking over his position as chief at Firehouse 51.

Over on Law & Order, Detective Theo Walker (David Ajala) will be getting a new partner during season 26 after Detective Vincent Riley (Reid Scott) is written off. According to Deadline, James Badge Dale is going to be replacing Scott’s character as a new senior detective.

The outlet reported that Scott, 48, will be in “a few episodes” before his exit is official. With the departure being Scott’s choice, the “amicable” decision will likely leave the door open for Riley to return in the future instead of killing the character off.
