DWTS’ Ezra Sosa and Julia Stiles Poke Fun at Theories About Their Social Media Absence

Ezra Sosa and Julia Stiles subtly addressed online theories after Dancing With the Stars fans noticed the pair going quiet on social media.

“In case you were wondering…” Stiles, 45, wrote via Instagram on Monday, September 28, sharing a photo of herself in a DWTS hoodie and a bucket hat reading, “Meet me on the dance floor.”

Sosa, 25, wasted no time chiming in on the selfie. “Where have you been loca 😩,” he teased in the comments section.

The duo also appeared in a video on the official DWTS account ahead of Yacht Rock Week, which Stiles reposted via her Instagram Story.

In the clip, Sosa asked his celeb partner whether she had any “connection” to the genre. “I don’t even know what yacht rock is,” Stiles quipped. “I have been on some [yachts], but only at work.”

“You know what, close enough for me,” Sosa replied before the pair shared a high-five.

Like their fellow season 35 contestants, Stiles and Sosa have frequently given glimpses of their rehearsals via social media since DWTS returned earlier this month. Following week two of the competition, however, minimal content was shared on their accounts, causing widespread speculation within the show’s passionate fan base.

Stiles and Sosa have been fan favorites throughout the season so far, earning an 18 out of 30 for their quickstep during the two-part premiere. Their scores dipped slightly for their Viral Hits Week tango — the judges gave them a total of 16 points — and Stiles appeared disappointed by the result.

“I’m just taking in the notes, and each performance is a new performance,” Stiles told Julianne Hough after the pair received their scores on September 22.

Expectations have been high for Stiles, who starred in the 2001 movie Save the Last Dance, and she hasn’t been afraid to challenge some of her more vocal critics. During the September 16 episode, she called out Andy Cohen for his previous comments about her dance ability (or lack thereof).

“Derek [Hough] said it best,” Stiles told Us after her performance, referring to the judge playfully telling Cohen, 58, to “eat it.”

Sosa, meanwhile, brushed off the Bravo exec’s shady remarks. “Honestly, I feel like the best message is he should tune in every Tuesday night on Dancing With the Stars,” he teased. “He will see some great dancing from this diva.”
